At Hanukkah time, Baby Bear and his family make applesauce to serve with latkes (potato pancakes). But this tasty treat will make any family dinner special!

Step 1: Wash apples and cut into quarters. Apples can be peeled, but that means less fiber!

Step 2: Combine apples and water in saucepan. Heat to a boil. Turn heat to low as soon as the water boils.

Step 3: Simmer over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Step 4: Stir in sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved.

Step 5: Stir in cinnamon before serving, then enjoy this holiday treat!
