Rev your engines! Slimey's practicing for the Squirmadega Car Race, zooming forward, backward, and around and around. Sportscaster Jeff Gordon introduces the lineup of racecar drivers. The worms must drive over the laundry basket, under the table and around the fire hydrant.
Vroom! Slimey approaches the finishing line, but gets caught in Big Bird's toes, and another driver pulls ahead and wins. Elmo's sad—he wanted Slimey to win, and thinks Slimey must be sad because he didn't. But Slimey is happy; he loves racing whether he wins or loses. He loves to practice, too. Slimey did his best. And so did Elmo—he did a great job cheering Slimey on. He's Slimey's biggest fan and cheerleader.
Watching with your little one is a great opportunity to discuss sportsmanship!
