Episode Summary

Clang, clang! Elmo and Leela hear a loud noise in the laundromat. Leela explains that that particular washing machine always gives her trouble and she'd like to get rid of it, but Elmo insists that she keep it. So Leela asks Luis to try to fix it again.

Luis needs a new nut in the shape of a hexagon, so Elmo finds the right nut. Luis tightens it and tries the machine again, which bangs, clangs, and hiccups louder than ever. He opens it and pulls out different stuck objects as Elmo adds them up—seven objects altogether! But now the machine lid explodes, spewing clothes and soap everywhere!

Now Leela really wants to get rid of the machine, but Elmo insists they keep it and reuse it for another purpose. Oscar happily announces that it can be reused as a "Grouch's Messing Machine." What a dream machine!
