Stephanie's Biography

Stephanie D'Abruzzo began working on Sesame Street during Season 25, and currently plays Curly Bear and many other Sesame Street walk-on characters.

She also brings many inanimate objects to life on Elmo's World.

Stephanie has performed and voiced more than 200 characters for film and television. She has worked on Oobi (playing Uma and Inka), Jack's Big Music Show, Bear in the Big Blue House, and The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, among other programs. D'Abruzzo‘s credits also include the television specials Elmo's Christmas Countdown, Elmo's Magic Cookbook, Elmopalooza, and CinderElmo, as well as the 1999 feature film The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.

Her voice can be heard in The Adventures of Bert & Ernie, Sheep in the Big City, and The Book of Pooh, as well as in promos, commercials, and several Scholastic preschool books on CD, including Clifford the Big Red Dog and Miss Spider's Tea Party.

D'Abruzzo is a Tony and Drama Desk nominated actress with multiple New York stage credits, but is best known for her roles in the musical Avenue Q, for which she also received a Theatre World Award and a special Outer Critics Circle Award
