About Face

To start drawing Zoe, hold your paper the long (landscape) way. In the center of the page, draw an oval for Zoe's head. Divide the oval in half in both directions by adding two dotted lines—one horizontal and one vertical. These lines will be your reference for placing Zoe's eyes, nose, and mouth. You will erase the oval and dotted lines later, so keep them light!

Look at That!

At the top center of your large oval, draw two small circles for Zoe's eyes. The eyes should overlap with the head. In the bottom half of each eye, draw a smaller circle for the pupil.

Flutter and Sniff

Finish up Zoe's eyes with eyelids and long lashes. Below the eyes, draw a small oval shape for her nose.

She's Happy and You Know It!

Zoe's mouth is next. For her top lip, draw a "furry" line beneath your dotted horizontal reference line. Complete the mouth by adding a wide U-shape below and drawing a heart-shaped tongue inside.

Furry and Fabulous

Give Zoe wisps of fur around the bottom edge of her face. Add long fur on each side of her head.

Details, Details

Don't forget the hairclips! Draw bows on either side of Zoe's eyes.

Dress Up Time

Sketch Zoe's necklace underneath her chin. Her necklace is a repeating pattern of a star and two circles.

Moving Right Along

Now you're ready to clean up your drawing. Erase your original oval, the dotted reference lines, and any overlaps. Fill in the mouth and pupils.

Absolutely Peachy!

Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to liven up Zoe with some color. And you're all done!
