Talk about people in your child's life that he loves or cares for. Explain to your child that he can show love for a family member or friend in different ways. He can make a gift, give a hug, or simply say, “I love you.” Ask your child what other ways he might show that he cares. Then, help your child show love for someone in the family, such as a grandmother or cousin, by making that person a card for Valentine's Day and telling her why she is special!
