Jen Barnhart

Puppeteer Jennifer Barnhart performs Sesame Street’s Gladys the Cow and Mama Bear. She is an original cast member (Outer Critics Circle Award) of the Broadway musical Avenue Q and she is also a puppeteer for the musical television show Johnny and the Sprites.

Barnhart earned her B.F.A in Acting with a Concentration in Puppetry from the University of Connecticut before launching her puppetry career on Animal Planet’s Once Upon a Tree. From there, Jennifer was cast as mother lioness Cleo on PBS's Between the Lions, where she further honed her skills as a puppeteer before joining Sesame Street.
