1. Around the World
We bring
Sesame Street to children in
countries far and wide. Often this is not the same
Sesame Street you know from the U.S., but a special, local version to better address the specific educational needs of children in that country.
So while American children are singing with Elmo, Mexican children are counting with Big Bird’s cousin Abelardo, and little ones in Egypt are learning with their pink-nosed friend Khokha.
2. Kids in Need
Here in the U.S., we were there when Hurricane Katrina hit to
help the littlest victims cope.
Today, we’re offering a helping hand to
military families dealing with the emotional stress of a loved one going off to war.
In
India, we use rickshaws to deliver our educational programming to those children most in need of basic learning materials.
You can learn more about these and other outreach efforts
here.
3. Much More Than Television
We use any medium that helps us reach kids. From books, videos, radio and magazines, to digital media and other exciting new media — like this free website you and your little one are enjoying right now!
